The Welsh would be damn thrilled
to know that the Duchess of Cambridge has started learning their language, thereby honing her language skills.
Duchess Kate has disclosed that she
started learning Welsh while residing on Anglesey during her husband’s posting
at RAF Valley as a search-and-rescue pilot.

It was while being among guests at her first Buckingham Palace
garden party that Kate Middleton let out the information about her budding linguistic skills.
Also joining the party for tea
and cakes with the Duchess were Prince Charles, Duchess Camila, and HRH Queen
Elizabeth.
The grounds of the royal residence
were swarming with 8,000 guests even as the family prepares for the
upcoming Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Duchess Kate had come to the event without her husband, Prince William in tow, who chose to stay back at RAF Valley.
The amiable Duchess spent nearly an hour chatting with guests on the well manicured lawns of the palace.
It was during her conversation with guests that she revealed she had picked up a few Welsh words while living in Anglesey.
Warren Haynes, Royal Navy Lieutenant and his wife Bethan, originally from the Welsh island of Anglesey, said the Duchess had told them about enjoying her stint at the island.
Bethan Haynes, who currently resides in Portsmouth,
said: “She said how much she loves living in Wales and had picked up a few Welsh
words. She’d learnt ’araf’ which means slow and ’heddlu’, meaning police."
“She was very confident, beautiful and elegant,” gushed Mrs Haynes. Looks
like yet another human being has fallen for the statuesque Duchess’ charm.
