Kate Middleton left misty-eyed at Wimbledon, while hubby Wills frolics on the beach with pals

The Duke of Cambridge is obviously no tennis buff as he let go a privileged seat in the royal box to watch fellow countryman Andy Murray’s heroic attempt to become the first Brit champ at Wimbledon, in 76 years.

Apparently, Prince William had claimed he had an ‘existing commitment’ that would prevent him from attending the thrilling finals with his tennis-crazy wife Kate Middleton.

However, yesterday 8^th July, it became pretty clear just what the Duke’s important ‘commitment’ was, that made him even give the crucial Wimbledon finals a miss.

Well, Prince William was snapped cavorting around on a surfboard at a beach in the company of his younger sibling Prince Harry and few pals. 

On the other hand wife Catherine would not have given the potential epoch- making game a miss in the world.

The Duchess leaving hubby behind, took her sister Pippa Middleton instead for the Wimbledon finals. 

The 30-year-old brunette, wearing a dress designed by Dannii Minogue - looked chic as she sat alongside Pippa in the front row of the royal box.

Later, as the match reached it eventful climax Kate must have surely missed her hubby’s presence. The  Duchess got all misty eyed on hearing a tearful Andy Murray’s heart-tugging speech following his loss to Roger Federer.

Meanwhile, her 30 year-old husband, William was away at Cornwall enjoying himself at the public beach catching waves and frolicking with his brother, Prince Harry and bunch of buddies.

Apparently as the pictures testify, the future heir to the British throne had a terrific day unlike his spouse Kate Middleton, as he caught some waves with his brother and friends.

William looks to be complete ‘water baby’ as he had also gone surfing for his stag party; not to forget the sea surfing adventure he went through for his 30^th birthday on June 21, 2012.

The princes William and Harry were conspicuous with their presence on the beach as they showed off their glorious physiques in black wetsuits. Both were seen cracking jokes and sporting broad grins on their faces.

Obviously the pair was sharing some brotherly bonding, even as they enjoyed a warm sunshine with their pals. However, there was very little sunshine in London’s famous tennis court at Wimbledon.

Andy Murray crashed out of the finals losing to the six times champion Roger Federer at 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4. Federer by winning the finals matched Pete Sampras' record seven Wimbledon titles.

The Middleton clan is known to be avid tennis fans and they have all been seen cheering the players at SW19 throughout the championship. 

But for Prince William, looks like one day of watching the game was more than enough, as he let his tennis crazy wife Catherine go for it, without his company this time around.
