In the eyes of fashionistas in Britain
and world-over, the Duchess of Cambridge is something of a style icon due to
her lithe model-like figure. Indeed, one does concede she looks gorgeous in any
dress she wears, but the moot point is, at what cost?
As reported earlier too, there is
a great deal of worry about Duchess Catherine’s weight and now this has been
confirmed medically too. According to her doctors, her skinny frame is coming
in the way of her conceiving a baby with the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.

An inside source has recently disclosed that Duchess Kate's doctors have
advised her to put on some extra pounds if she wants to have a child. As it is
since her wedding last year there has been overt hints to produce a royal heir.
Now the pressure has increased ever since her husband Prince
William disclosed publicly that he too was keen to start a family.
Meanwhile, those around Kate
Middleton are worried, as the statuesque 5’ 10 inches Royal's weight has
plummeted below 90 pounds, which is less than 7 stone, a dismal weight for
someone as tall as the 30-year-old Duchess.
The US OK magazine quoting a royal
insider states: "She and Prince William have made no secret that
they want to have a baby — they're hoping to make an announcement this year,
while the queen is celebrating her diamond jubilee."
Further, the royal insider told the magazine: "Her doctors have advised her to gain weight to improve her chances of conceiving. Wills has been encouraging her to eat more, saying how he prefers her with a little meat on her bones!"
Delighted at the compliments she
received from designers and all those around, Duchess Kate is said to have lost
14lbs just before her wedding to Prince William last year. Despite losing
weight good enough to fit into dresses several sizes lower, instead of stopping
she continues to diet.
Duchess Kate has even tried the Dukan Diet along with her mother
Carole Middleton. She reportedly weighed around 100lbs at her wedding, is now happy
to have dropped even more weight that is another 10lbs, reckons nutrition
expert Bonnie Taub-Diz, MA, RD, CDN of betterdieting.net, who does not work
with Kate Middleton.
The royal insider goes on to
state: "Like any woman, she wanted to lose weight for her wedding dress.
The trouble is she's just kept on dieting," adds the inside source.
Meanwhile, a friend has revealed that Duchess Kate’s daily food intake is in
bits and pieces of healthy snacks.
"These days her diet seems to be nibbling on healthy
snacks all day … She'll eat a carrot or fruit and often skip meals altogether.
When she does sit down with a plate of food, it's normally salad, or pasta or
sushi — and the portions are rarely big," informs the friend.
