The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be
attending their first joint engagement as guests of honor at a star-studded bash
celebrating Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

This is their way of giving a royal boost to the Team
GB and Paralympics GB to be held
later this month. During Our Greatest
Team Rises event, Prince William and Catherine will be mingling with a galaxy
of stars at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday May 11, 2012.

The royal couple
will get to watch a spectacular line up of UK’s best entertainers including ‘Take That’ singer and X Factor Judge Gary Barlow, artist
Will Young, X Factor presenter Dermot O Leary, singing sensation Alfie Boe and
Britain's Got Talent winners Spelbound.
All the above extremely talented artistes will be performing in honor of the sportsmen and women coming Friday. Hope to see Duchess Catherine in another of her gorgeous evening gowns at the event.

Prince William, Duchess Catherine and Prince
Harry, are the ambassadors for Team GB and Paralympics GB. Exhibiting their patriotic side, the royals
will be joining fellow Team GB ambassadors in encouraging fans all over Britain to
unite in showing their support for athletes who are preparing to represent Team
GB and Paralympics GB at the London 2012 games.
On July 26, a day before the Olympic Games opening
ceremony, the three royals will welcome the Olympic Torch relay to Buckingham Palace. After which they will watch as three
torchbearers carry the flame through the palace grounds.
A black-tie event, Our Greatest Team Rises will be staged next Friday, a day after the
Olympic flame is lit in Olympia,
Greece, just as
the final countdown for the London Games kicks off. During a pre-dinner reception the Prince William and Kate Middleton
will meet Olympic gold medal winners and Team GB ambassadors Sir Steve
Redgrave, Dame Kelly Holmes and Denise Lewis.
The former Spice Girl Mel C is "Artist Chair"
of Party to 2012, which is a series of official events celebrating Britain’s
Olympians. In that capacity Mel C will be present at the gala event. Presenter Davina McCall and Comic John Biship
will be the hosts for the evening. The elaborate menu for the guests will be
created by Michelin-starred chef Simon Hulstone.
