Distracted Kate Middleton forgets her handbag at Berkshire store

Probably, due to the sheer joy of being back in her home town, Kate Middleton got a little tardy as she went on a shopping spree in Bucklebury, Berkshire, close to her parents home.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited a local store with mother Carole Middleton (57) in tow. However, having completed her shopping while leaving the store, she left behind a very important fashion accessory.

Later speaking about the incident, the shop owner told You Magazine 'Kate is quite ditsy.' According to him, Kate Middleton was browsing some stuff in the store for sometime with her mom, as she usually does.

However this time when she left, “I noticed she'd left her handbag behind just sitting on a piece of furniture,” disclosed the shop owner. Obviously, by now the expensive item has been returned to its royal owner.

30-year old Kate Middleton’s upper middle class upbringing tends to surface time and again, particularly in her zeal for high street bargains.

Although she does not really need to go scouting for it since now she is a member of the British Royal family after her marriage to 29-year old Prince William in April, last year.  Some how she cannot seem to give up her love for some good high street bargains.

In fact Duchess of Cambridge has even been seen sneaking in to purchase stuff at H&M and Gap on London's Kensington High Street. Duchess Kate is also said to be a big admirer of LK Bennett, Whistles and Reiss.
