Pippa
Middleton, Duchess Kate’s younger sibling who was the topic of world
speculation ever since wearing a figure hugging bridesmaid's dress at the royal
wedding, is reportedly back in the arms of her man.
Pippa with Alex Loudon. |
Alex Loudon and Philippa aka
Pippa Middleton were romantically linked, a much in love couple at the time of
Prince William and Kate’s wedding. At that point one of Pippa’s friend
told Daily Mail: ‘He’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and Pippa
is very smitten’
And added: ‘He stopped playing
county cricket in 2007 to go into the City, but he’s still a great athlete and
a really good chap.’ However, suddenly the couple split and went their own ways
in November of last year.
Apparently, the 31-year old
respected cricketer-turned-banker (a Virgo like Pippa) was ill at ease with the
sudden spotlight and paparazzi attention that came with dating Pippa, dubbed by
the press as "her royal hotness".
The good news is that the couple
is back together. Now magazine reported that earlier this month Pippa
Middleton, 28, was seen leaving Loudon's house in the wee hours of the morning,
allegedly spending the night with her boyfriend.
Alex Loudon has always been the
special man in Pippa’s life and now that they were back in each others
arms, Kate Middleton’s younger sister is reportedly gushing to
friends that he's "the love of her life."
Naturally Pippa Middleton’s
friends and well-wishers are very pleased for her. Moreover, the news about the
rekindling of her romance with Alex Loudon is good news for the British royals
too.
Reportedly for the royals, at
least now they won’t have to be embarrassed by any of Pippa’s indiscretions
with her partying friends splashed all over the media.
However not everyone is welcoming
this reunion between Pippa and Alex. Some are said to be lukewarm in their
response to the news. Well, one is referring to the man in question's parents.
There are two major factors why
Alex Loudon’s parents are understood to be not too glad to see Pippa turning up
at their home again. One of the reasons is her partying ways and that they do
not consider Pippa as “wife material” for their son.
Now magazine quoting a source
states: '"They don't think Pippa's right for him as she parties too much.”
Apparently they fret that Pippa enjoys the attention on her just a little too
much.
While most gossip magazines agree
that it is reason, however, several others believe there is another factor why
the Alex's parents, James and Jane, don't particularly prefer Pippa as a
daughter-in-law. That is her lineage – her ancestry so to speak.
The gossip blog Gather Celebs analyzing the issue, claims: “Their
pedigrees are somehow better than the Middleton family's commoner status,
despite the Middleton's current wealth and royal ties."
In fact right from the start of
William and Kate’s relationship, much has been made and speculated about the
Middleton family’s ancestry. Carole Middleton, Pippa and Kate's mother, came in
for a lot of snide media reports about her working class background.
Apparently Carole’s grandfather
was a coalminer, while her father drove a truck before he became a respectable
builder. This is in total contrast to the family background of Alex aka
Alexander Guy Rushworth Loudon.
Alex Loudon’s family belongs to
the so-called upper class gentry. His family owns a magnificent estate in Kent called
Olantigh, out of which a 20-acre garden is opened to public for walks. His
father studied at Eton and so did Alex
himself. His grandmother was an Earl's daughter.
In November last year a source
told The Daily Mail: “Alex’s parents were welcoming but they were always
somewhat lukewarm about the relationship. They didn’t see Pippa as ‘wife
material’. James and his wife Jane both come from very good families.
They went on: “Pippa is very
sweet but she is socially ambitious – all her friends are so “trophy posh” it’s
ridiculous. They didn’t honestly see Alex and Pippa’s relationship as a
long-term thing… James and Jane are very old-fashioned and prefer to keep
things low-key.”
Apparently, while the Windsors have had little
difficulty in overlooking the Middleton’s nouveau riche status; unfortunately
for Pippa, it looks like the Loudons cannot. So point is will love triumph?
