The dashing British Royals, Prince
William, Prince Harry and Duchess Kate were in their sporting element yesterday (26th July, 2012) as

Being official Olympic
Ambassadors, the royals were dressed in Team GB Adidas polo shirts. They were also joined
by 40 athletes from the Team GB Ambition programme which aims at encouraging
future sports stars.

Catherine, aka, the Duchess of Cambridge, was
elegance personified at the venue, even though she was just wearing a sportswear. She
looked absolutely chic in a pair of skinny blue jeans which she had teamed with
a perfect fitting white top.
In fact, the royal trio of Wills,
Kate and Harry seemed to be having the time of their lives as they cracked jokes, burst
into laughter and waved in excitement at the crowds even as they witnessed the historic
occasion unfolding before their eyes.
It was just past 6.30 pm when the
torch arrived at the Buckingham
Palace. The royals
predictably had each chosen someone from their charities to do the honor of being
the torch bearer of the iconic flame.
Mountain rescuer, John Hulse from Ogwen
Valley was nominated by Prince
William, as the Duke is a Patron of Mountain Rescue England
and Wales.
Prince Harry chose Wai-Ming Lee from charity Map Action, while Kate Middleton’s
nominee was Scout volunteer Jon Sayer from Todmorden.

A thrilled Jon was over the moon
having got an opportunity to not only be the torch bearer but also get a chance
to thank the Duchess in person for nominating him. Jon is a committed Scout
volunteer, who as a lifeguard jumped into a river and saved a drowning man’s
life.
Later he gushed to the Mirror:
“It was an unbelievable honor - a day I won’t forget for a long time.” He went
on to state: “I got to meet Kate afterwards and we spoke at great length about
what we do with our Scouts.”
According to the Scot, Kate
Middleton does the same kind of activities on a weekly basis that all others
do. “She said she was loving it. “We spoke about the flame and I said ‘thank
you for nominating me’ and she said ‘I didn’t put you here, you put yourself
here’,” disclosed an awestruck Jon.
