Duchess Catherine is one
celebrity who does not shy away from wearing an outfit which may not
necessarily be the one in vogue.
Royal watchers and fashionistas may have observed that most of the dresses she wears are classic pieces that could be from two or even three seasons earlier.
The Duchess’ only criterion being
that it should suit her and as can be seen each one of her outfits, old or new,
just suit her to the tee immaculately.
Hence, it’s no shocker that the
Duchess of Cambridge selected an exquisite piece from Alexander McQueen's 2011
collection for her appearance today.
As most are aware the Duchess of
Cambridge was on-board the royal barge over the River Thames in the
company of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh and other royals taking part in the
Queen's Jubilee flotilla pageant.

But what's surprising is that Kate apparently seems to have taken style inspiration from two most unlikely celebrities. The vivid red Alexander McQueen dress made its debut on the spring/summer 2011 catwalk two years ago in February 2010.
Since then this stunning dress
worn by Duchess Kate today has also been spotted on two occasions in the past
year on Hollywood celebrities.
The first time Tulisa Contostavlos, the X Factor judge wore a sleeveless
version of the dress for the reality show's auditions last July.

Next last August, socialite Kim Kardashian wore the dress for a night out in New York. Of course it needs to be
mentioned here that both the above dress were a racier version, in-fact a far
cry from Catherine’s demure full-sleeved take on the piece.
Tulisa’s sleeveless rendition has
a much shorter skirt, something which Kate as royal would never have worn. Kim Kardashian too has a
sleeveless version but seems to have enhanced the simple neckline with a
statement necklace.
Must say, without a shadow of
doubt, the Alexander McQueen dress is looking classy and chic only on the
Duchess of Cambridge.
