Britain’s Prince William
experienced an incredible year in 2011. First bagging a glamorous wife then
carrying out a successful royal tour. And then the ‘cool’ Duke was even named the
"Most Influential Man of the Year” in an online survey by Askmen.com.
The 29-year-old Duke of Cambridge,
who married Kate Middleton in April, 2011, topped the said poll beating biggies
like Prime Minister David Cameron, US President Barack Obama, late Apple
co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Justin Bieber.

According to those surveyed in
the online poll, Prince William is understood to have revamped the royal
family, making them 'accessible and cool'. This is what Drew Lubega, UK Editor
of lifestyle Web site AskMen.com, which commissioned the study had to say on
the top choice:
"This was the year that our readers believe Prince William finally came of age, making the royal family accessible and cool, in a way that the previous generation failed. He's a hard worker determined to use his global profile for good causes.’

US President Obama was tenth in
the list, while Prince William’s younger brother Harry finished twenty-second
in the list of the Top 49 Most Influential Men, with the British PM David
Cameron shockingly coming at the bottom of the list.
The result of the online poll
clearly indicates that together Prince William and Kate Middleton are fast
turning into a power couple. It may be noted that Duchess Catherine has topped
the globe’s “Best Dressed Woman” poll thereby adding to the royal duo’s status
as one of the world's most influential couples.
Askmen’s Editor Drew Lubega,
lauded the winners by stating that all those who made it to the Top 49 have had
an amazing year and helped in influencing the opinions and tastes of men across
Britain. “Making the list is an achievement, but against the toughest economic
background for almost a century.”
